Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007)

It’s so nice to stay at home, watch DVD, off from work and be with one’s family. I often watch cartoons/animated movies with my three nephews to bond with them. Ani movies don’t stick to my mind as an adult unlike when I was a kid. Until I saw this film and began to appreciate animated movies again.

It’s a fun movie and I couldn’t imagine the time, dedication and effort to do this movie, especially when they’ve recorded songs in a very slow motion to come up with the Chipmunk’s version. This remake of an old phenomenal cartoon series really justified and improved the former versions.

The lead animated characters, Alvin, Simon and Theodore is funny in their own unique individual characters. What I enjoyed most is the part when they sing and dance the “Funky Town” song. Also, when Alvin was taking his bath inside the dishwasher, he’s singing “Don’t Cha” by the Pussycat Dolls, when uncle Dave opens the lid, Alvin screamed and covered his front as if he is a real guy naked…hahaha!

The movie’s moral lesson is about having the wisdom to know who’s a genuine friend or not, someone who cares about you and not the personal gains that one might obtain from you.

You might think I’m just being cheesy but you know there’s a little child in all of us. And movies are made to entertain us viewers so let’s not be too rationale about it.

It’s the cuteness, music and humor, I and my nephews love about this movie. By watching it, we had fun which made our bonding time more enjoyable.
